We are committed to building the church upon the foundation of God’s Word. When we searched the Scriptures, we’ve found several basic requirements for a local church. We want to focus very simply on these basics. Our vision is reflected in our name:
We believe the gospel is the power of God for salvation. We strive to preach Christ and Him crucified. We hold to a high view of God’s sovereignty and the sufficiency of Scripture. We see Jesus as the hero of the Bible; our hope for justification, sanctification, and glorification; and our theme throughout this life. Our passion for the gospel moves us toward mission as we declare God’s goodness throughout our community and the world.
We believe the gospel is best applied and practiced in community. The ministry of our church flows through home-based fellowship. These “Gospel Communities” will meet weekly to eat, worship, pray, and study God’s Word together. These groups will revisit the previous week’s sermon with a focus on obedience. Each meeting will include accountability. We believe these groups will be the driving force of the church’s ministry. Believers can practice their spiritual gifts, serve one another, and engage in outreach through their Gospel Community.
All of the believers fellowshipping in Gospel Communities gather together weekly to worship God through music, preaching, giving, praying, and the Lord’s Table. We believe God has established preaching as one of His primary means for making disciples. We look forward to celebrating God’s goodness weekly with all the members of our faith family. We hope that our worship services encourage those who do not yet believe to see the goodness of God and turn to Him in repentance and faith.
