We continue volume 2 of our study through Psalms with chapter 20. In this sermon from a royal psalm, Dr. Andrew White encourages us to follow God’s New Testament command to pray for our leaders by teaching from this Old Testament example of God’s people praying for their leaders. While this text makes it clear we ought to pray for our national leaders, its primary application is to stimulate us to trust the Lord. God is faithful and He has blessed and will continue to bless the endeavors of our one true King, Jesus Christ.
I. Prayer for the King (vv. 1–5)
