This is sermon #11 in our series through First Peter. In this series, we will see that God has a people for His own possession who are called to live holy lives in an unholy age. In this sermon from 1 Peter 3:13–17, Dr. Andrew White dives into what many commentators call the most difficult text in the New Testament. Why work through such a difficult passage? Because nothing is better for God’s people than God’s Word. We should labor to understand even confusing passages to learn from the whole counsel of God’s Word. In this text, we learn that Jesus is victorious over sin, death, and evil. By faith in Christ, we are given the same victory! What a wonderful hope we have in Christ.
